Norwich City's Kellen Fisher maintains that a draw was a fair result as the Canaries and Sunderland shared the points at Carrow Road.
The result has confirmed Sunderland's place in the play-offs at least while Norwich sit adrift of the top six.
"It's probably a fair result. We were on top for the first half, kept the ball well and created some good chances," Fisher said.
"It's a shame we couldn't go in at half-time 1-0 up. Then, in the second half, they were the better team so, all round, a point is a fair result."
After a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Plymouth at the weekend, the right-back says it was a step back in the right direction.
"(We were told to) play with a bit of freedom. In the last game, we didn't play the football that we normally do.
"Especially being at home, we had the confidence to keep the ball better. We've done that really well in the first half but dropped off a bit in the second. We were able to limit their chances, they didn't create much.
"When we play with confidence, we are a great team. When we lack that, we're not as good on the ball and that's when we struggle. That's where we were really good today, in the first half especially.
"(The fans) have been great all season. The travelling fans who came to Plymouth at the weekend, they deserved a much better performance and I think we've done that."
