Kellen Fisher believes this Norwich City team are on the right track after just a few weeks under new head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup.
Fisher has played in both midfield and defence over the past few weeks, and has been one of the standouts of City's pre-season.
Speaking after the 1-0 defeat against Magdeburg, he told of how he's enjoyed the early stages of the new campaign.
"I think it was a good test against a good team. We should good things in the first 15/20 minutes, it was the cutting edge in the final third that let us down. But again it was another test against a good team so on to Austria," Fisher said.
"I've played a couple of positions this off-season. As long as I'm playing, I'm happy. I think it's becoming a grey area what my best position is at the moment. I started at centre-mid and have gone out to left-back now but, like I say, as long as I'm playing, I'm happy."
On the training pitch, Fisher has been happy with the application of the group and believes that there's a lot to be positive about for the months ahead.
At just 20, he is one of the younger members of the squad but has enjoyed seeing more youth stake a claim during the summer.
"It's been really good. In training, there's a set idea which everyone has followed so far. There's a lot of improvement still to happen but I think we're on the right track for the start of the season.
"We've a good mix of youth and experience who help the young boys in games and training. I want to try and get on the pitch more than last year and help this team get out of the league."
