Norwich City defender Ben Gibson spoke to Canaries TV after the defeat away to Liverpool in the Emirates FA Cup.
"We're obviously disappointed," Gibson said. "To be out of the cup and to concede five. They're obviously a level above, and you've got to be perfect and hope they have an off day.
"We're left kicking ourselves about the manner of some of the goals. We could've done better, albeit they are a strong side. The margin of error in a game like this is so much smaller than what we see week in week out.
"The top players are at this level for a reason. A big learning curve for some of the lads who haven't been at this level, but it's something to aspire to."
Gibson netted his first goal for the Canaries, as he guided Gabriel Sara's corner beyond Alisson Becker in the first half, and the defender dedicated the goal to his family.
"It's just nice to get an equaliser. I know I should've scored before now, but it was nice to get the goal for my family. My partner has been through a lot recently, as she gave birth prematurely.
"Our little girl will hopefully be out of the hospital soon, so the goal was for her and for my partner who's been amazing, and for my son who was one yesterday. We've been through a lot as a family, and it meant a lot to me in that regard."
