Reaction | Gunn: We deserved the win

Angus Gunn says that Norwich City were full value for their 1-0 win against Coventry City in the Sky Bet Championship.

Gunn made a number of key saves throughout the fixture which was settled by Borja Sainz's early second-half strike.

"I thought it was our best performance of the season so far. We dominated possession, controlled the ball," Gunn said.

"Even when we went ahead, we still tried to play quick to get that second goal which helped us settle the game down. They were pushing at the end but I think we were pretty solid and deserved the three points in the end."

The home side also had their moments of pressure in the second half with a late siege laid to the Canaries' goal.

However, solid performances from Gunn and across his back four both on the ground and aerially meant that the Sky Blues were kept at bay.

"No nerves. It was pretty controlled in the second half. The last 10 minutes, they were putting balls into the box but I felt we dominated that area of the game and dealt with everything they threw at us. I was pretty confident that we were going to see the game out in the end," the Scotland number one added.

"It's massive for us. The performances have been pretty good. We've been building towards this result and it's great to get a clean sheet and go away with the three points. We'll come back in a couple of weeks and hopefully we can carry the momentum on from this."
