Lauren Hailes and Norwich City Women made a triumphant return to Ashford Town, as the midfielder netted a hat-trick in 45 minutes to help secure a 6-0 win.
The Canaries were 4-0 up at half-time, the second half goals come from Ellie Smith and Natasha Snelling.
"It was good to get a lot of goals today and keep a clean sheet, we know that's important this season, especially off the back of last season's results, so we're very happy," Hailes said.
"I'm buzzing, it was nice to score even one today to be honest, the assist from Smithy was unbelievable, and Tash making those runs and drawing the defenders out so I could have a bit of space to take a shot was great.
"At half-time, we just wanted to keep going at them, we did change the shape slightly, but we wanted to keep pushing and be conservative on the defence."
Hailes was full of praise for her team-mates in opening up the opportunities for her to score.
"They \[Ashford\] tried to hit us on the counter quite a few times, especially when we changed the shape but we just had to control that and be wary of it, but we're still happy.
"It's so nice to have someone like Smithy by my side, she is unbelievable on the ball, she can take on five players and then give it to someone in space."
City Women have now scored 11 goals in two games and kept three clean sheets in four league games.
"We've got to keep pushing, because these are the margins that it comes down to at the end of the season and we've got to go again next weekend in the cup."
