Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup said the 5-1 win over Swansea City is a big one for his squad.
Josh Sargent (2), Lewis Dobbin, Ante Crnac and Emiliano Marcondes were on the scoresheet for the Canaries in an emphatic Carrow Road win.
"First of all, I think it's the players' character," the head coach said. "I think everyone could see that we sometimes struggled in the first half. We couldn't really find the rhythm and our pressing game was not perfect.
"The next thing that comes into play is their character and personality and to do what is needed. To be fair, I didn't see a 5-1 game at half-time. On the back side of that, if you do your job and do a little bit better than what is expected, then the game's momentum can change.
"It's a big one for the boys; it's been a busy week with a lot of travelling and not too many players available. To go out here and get such an important win, it's incredible."
Lucien Mahovo made his first start for the club and Hoff Thorup said he was
"He played himself into the team, which is the first step to take. I told him after the Leeds game that he still has to be patient.
"It's the hardest step as a player to take the step to be a regular starter in the first-team. I think there's still a long way for him to go, but I think it was important for him to get that feeling and that experience today.
"I think he's a great player and can contribute with a lot of things, especially in our build-up game. He's so calm on the ball and he's enjoying it which I think is the most important part. We still have to be careful and a little bit protective but he's definitely part of squad now.
"That's a big step and I don't think that he, or anyone else, expected it to be that early in the season that he could do that."
