Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup described his side's victory away to Watford as a great win, with Josh Sargent's goal sealing three points.
US international Sargent scored the game's only goal as the Canaries finished as 1-0 winners at Vicarage Road.
"First of all, we have to be satisfied with the result," Hoff Thorup said. "I think it was a great win, our first half in general was very good. We created good moments, we have that moment with Josh (Sargent) after one or two minutes in the game.
"In a lot of moments in the game, we had control and I think we looked dangerous. Of course, the red card changes a lot. We didn't really manage to find that flow in our game in the second half. We were probably caught a little bit in-between.
"That's whether we should keep the ball and make it a game we could 100 per cent control, or a game where we have to score that second goal and I think we were caught in-between. I was more pleased with our first half when we played 11 v 11."
Vakoun Bayo saw red in the first half, with Hoff Thorup saying he wasn't surprised with how Tom Cleverley's side approached the second half with only 10 men.
"That is their style, no matter who they play against. They are very man for man in all their games, we've tried to highlight it for the players what to do against the man-marking and to be even more clear in our own structure.
"And be more clear in our own ideas and clear in the passing patterns we give each other, because we could see that when we had the rhythm and the flow, we opened up the space we needed to create chances.
"We could also see when we were forced to follow up in their positions and we got a little bit too open and that's not in our favour."
The head coach also highlighted the importance of the timing of Sargent's first-half opener.
"It's very important and good timing, because you know it's going to be a completely different game when you're one man up and there will be different scenarios in the game.
"The longer they can defend a draw, the better for them and the more under pressure we would become. So it was important for the team to score after that and I think it was a consequence of a good first half and I'm a little bit surprised we couldn't keep up with the level in the second half."
