Head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup gave his thoughts following Norwich City's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Sheffield United.
The Dane was frustrated by the moments that ultimately cost his team the points: "I think there were chances for us in the game, so I'm disappointed because I think it's obviously a team fighting for promotion but I think we had chances.
"I think if we had taken just a little bit better care of the ball in some moments and been a little bit better competing in some of the dangerous areas and difficult moments out there I think we could've gotten a better result.
"It's down to small details and there they were the better team."
Addressing the build-up to each goal, he highlighted the difference between the teams: "It's about reading the game. The goal-kick for their first one, we followed their way of pressing and we spoke about doing the opposite.
"If in doubt we always have the option to bring it down the line. I think we can take a better decision collectively and as a team in that situation.
"The second goal, we dealt with the corner OK but a player on his way out of the box - we should never concede a penalty like that and that is the small details."
Hoff Thorup suggested his team were creating pressure without converting it to good chances: "The amount of times we entered the box today was a lot and the situations around the box, but we don't take care of them, we don't let them develop into big chances or get some shots on target. The dangerous moments in the box, we are too loose in those moments.
"We tried to show the players at half-time there were many opportunities for us, we just had to accelerate the game even more and be more eager to get in the box when we had chances to do it, but I don't think it got much better in the second half.
On the inclusion of several academy products in the squad, the head coach outlined the current situation with players unavailable: "I think everyone knows that (playing young players) is a part of the situation we are in with injuries. If you look at the bench today I think there was three or four players with us for the first time this season.
"The opportunity for was there for Lucien (Mahovo) and for Elliot (Myles) to step into the team and prove what they can do, because we have another game in four days so we have to use the squad that is available and potentially that could be them."
On facing teams at the top of the table: "There's definitely confidence in the squad but we just need to prove to ourselves that we can compete on a higher level.
"We know it's going to be difficult against Leeds, we knew this one would be difficult because we are lacking the last 10 per cent to be able to compete against the best team in the league here.
"They have a little bit more when it comes to duels and reading the moment and to be able to compete in those final moments that's probably the headline of the game after today."
