Head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup gave his thoughts following the 2-1 defeat at home to Burnley.
The Canaries led at the break thanks to José Córdoba's first senior goal, but goals in the final half-hour from Zian Flemming and Josh Brownhill swung it in the favour of Burnley.
"It's tough one, particularly after all the good moments in the first half. We knew it was important for the game, and for us, to get that second goal," the Dane said.
"We were close in situations in the second half. We concede then and sometimes you have to accept, when they score from that distance, it's fantastic strike even though there are many things leading up to that moment. We saw in the two goals we scored that we had two/three/four players switching off at the same time, you can't do that against a team like Burnley."
On the opposition, Hoff Thorup spoke of the moments of quality that enabled them to clinch the three points, highlighting Flemming's goal.
"They really stay in all the moments that make it difficult for us. We created big moments against them, we had that corner kick that led to two or three chances in a row. But they stayed in it, and they kept on fighting even though it was difficult for them.
"They know with the quality they have in their group that they can score goals out of nothing. It was similar to what we've seen from the other top teams, they score from the few chances they have."
With a week now until City are back on the road to face Sunderland, he said that they will use the week to discuss any issues from Sunday's defeat.
"After a loss like this, when the feeling at half-time is that we've been pretty good and doing the right things, then we lose it and the goals come from situations we need to avoid, the atmosphere is not one to start giving too much feedback," he explained.
"We need to find those moments and make it clear for the boys where we need to be more consistent."
