Head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup was pleased with the overall performance of his squad in the win against Stoke City but also highlighted areas for improvement.
After going in 1-1 at the break, a strong second half saw Norwich come out on top on a 4-2 scoreline.
"Very good in the first 35 or 40 minutes, probably some of our better football this season," Hoff Thorup said afterwards.
"Dominance, complete control over the game, creating chances in many different ways, I think we looked comfortable and fluid up front, a lot of good stuff. So, I was a bit annoyed to go into half-time with the score at 1-1.
"One of the things we have to develop and quite fast is where it cannot be true that a game like today is 1-1 at half-time. I'm also annoyed with the second goal we concede just before the final whistle. There are some moments where it seems like we switch off and our decisions are not good enough."
The minor errors he spoke of caused some annoyance in the dressing room but he was happy with the squad's response.
However, he still hopes that they can learn from those moments.
"At the start of the game, we didn't get it all right in the first couple of minutes. Just before half-time, after our second goal in the second half, times where we do some clumsy stuff that is not how we're supposed to do it.
"With all due respect to Stoke, against a better team, we would end up being behind. We do so many good things and create so many good chances, there's so much great stuff going on but we have to learn from that. Our offensive flow is good but it's just those small errors."
Lewis Dobbin scored in the first half but was then replaced at the break. The head coach stated that it was a precautionary change and Dobbin could have continued if needed.
"He was alright but he felt some tightness in his calf and, with an explosive player like him, he can pick up injuries faster. We went low risk and took him off. Even though they had just scored, we had the game where we wanted it to be," the Dane explained.
"We could see that if we just did things right to create chances we needed to score. He wanted to play but we were quite sure in our decision that it was not the time for risks because we'll need him the next couple of games as well."
