Head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup says that he was impressed with his team's performance against Sheffield United but felt they could have taken all three points.
The recently-relegated Blades came to Carrow Road looking to end Norwich's 19-game unbeaten home streak.
However, both sides were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
"I think the performance was OK. The first half was a little bit too even, I don't think we took good enough care of the ball," Hoff Thorup explained.
"We had some great attacks, some great moments in the game, we scored a beautiful goal but it was still a little bit too open. The second half I was pleased with because we were on top and we were really, really pushing for that second goal. There were some good positive signs in it but I'm still disappointed with the result."
City were dominant in the second half and had opportunities to win the game, but the head coach felt that it wasn't enough.
With Carrow Road driving Norwich forward, it looked imminent that a goal would come but time ran out.
"I felt the same, and it's the reason why we didn't do too many substitutions towards the end of the game.
"I think the momentum in the game was there, I think the rhythm in the game was there and I had the same feeling that it was just a matter of time before that second goal would come. We have to improve in the final third, we need to prove that we can create bigger chances and better chances because we were there around the box."
Ante Crnac also made his City debut after signing for the club in midweek and Hoff Thorup also told Canaries TV about his decision to include the young Croatian from the start.
"He did an individual training on Thursday, he had a good season yesterday. He comes with many games with 90 minutes so it was an easy decision for us to put him in, and also for him just to get started. We didn't want to postpone that, and wait with it too much. I think he did well, it's an important learning experience today."
