Head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup assessed Norwich City's 4-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup by saying his team needed to maintain more control.
The Dane highlighted the second goal as the key example of where Norwich lost momentum in the game after a positive start.
"I was very pleased with the first 25 minutes, 30 minutes, I think we had some good offensive moments and we tried to see if we could be quick on the counter, but also see if we could control the game for some moments," he said.
"The first goal is what it is, that's difficult to defend, the second goal kills the momentum just a little bit.
"I think, in particular that moment, we had to do better, see if we could keep the ball instead of just getting rid of it, dealing with second balls and random situations that we cannot control. Then you go into half-time 2-0 down instead of one, it makes it a lot more difficult for us."
He also said that it was a bad day on the injury front for City with Amankwah Forson and Marcelino Núñez both withdrawn.
"Forson had some contact to his knee so hopefully it's not too serious. We'll have to wait and see.
"Unfortunately, it looks like it's a hamstring issue with Marcelino again, on the other leg this time. That, we'll have to assess."
One positive for City to take from the game was the return of Josh Sargent to the matchday squad.
The USA international hasn't featured since City's 3-3 draw against Middlesbrough in October.
"He felt good. Of course, the game is more or less over and out when he comes on. I think he gave some energy and some positivity to the team.
"Everyone can see what it is he can bring to the team. That'll be good for us, it was an investment before next week that he had those 15 minutes. It was more just to get him out there and have the feeling again."
