Johannes Hoff Thorup spoke to Canaries TV after his side suffered a 2-0 defeat to Bristol City in the Sky Bet Championship.
Anis Mehmeti and Nahki Wells netted for the Robins at Carrow Road making it three consecutive defeats for Yellows.
Speaking post-match, Hoff Thorup said:
On the performance
"I think overall there are some topics for us. We lacked a rhythm in the game which is fair enough with the new constellations we played with. We lacked some rhythm, we lacked some flow, we lacked tempo in the things that we did, taking a couple of touches too many in situations where we have to do it fast.
"I think that was obvious. We are in a moment of the season where it seems like very shot they have is a conceded goal for us because I don't count many chances for them."
Squad availability
"I think it comes down to the amounts of training that we can have. When we face a situation like we do at the moment, there is of course limited training sessions and not too much time spent out there.
"It's still a group where we need to consistently train what we do, consistently repeat the things that we do. If we have too many weeks or months where it's more about restitution or recovery for the games, then I think naturally we will drop in performance level. It's something we have to look at and how we can deal with it if a situation like this happens again.
"It's not the worst time of the season for us to have an international break. Hopefully on the backside of that, we can have some more players available because some of the guys in there now are to the limit.
"That is not ideal for them going 90 minutes Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday. But that is the situation for us, we've tried and the players have done well in trying everything they can but I think it's obvious today that it is maybe too much."
Current run of results
"It's tough for everyone. We can't really do anything too different. Of course, we can always look critically at something we need to adjust but our approach needs to be the same and we cannot be too affected by results, wins or losses.
"That's how it is as a football player when you face these periods in a season no matter where you go, and no matter where you play. We'll deal with it, face the situation, it's about not avoiding tough questions or tough conversations. We don't have all of the players in the building next week but the players we do have, we can have some of these talks.
"It's never easy to lose games, but I've been in football for so many years, the same with the backroom staff and the players, we know it's a part of it. You can't let emotions take over too much.
"We need to find solutions and we need to be a little bit creative at this period of the season because of the availability of players. That's a part of it but there's other teams with injuries, they also have to cope with it. It's something we have to do and we definitely will do it."
