Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup spoke to Canaries TV after his side were beaten by Plymouth Argyle.
Ryan Hardie netted twice in the first half for Plymouth, before Josh Sargent pulled a goal back early in the second half, but the home side would hold on for all three points.
"I think it's difficult to sum up," the Dane said. "It's a bad result, I think that's the easy answer.
"Last week against West Brom, our approach was exactly to avoid situations (on conceding chances). Today, we thought this was a game where we could dominate a little bit more and we could be more on top, but we still see it only takes one chance to concede a goal and that's something we need to do better at. We need to look at how we approach the last six games of the season now.
"I expected the whole game to be very tough, because they're fighting for their position in the league. We expect from minute one that it will be tough. We wanted it be a game where we could control and kill their momentum on the ball.
"There will always be those situations in the game where there will be a throw-in that you'll have to defend, there will be a free-kick that you have to defend. In those moments of the game, we don't do well enough."
With only six games left of the Sky Bet Championship season, the head coach spoke about the importance of every game and living up to standards.
"Every game we play is important, no matter who we play is important. We have to make sure that we live up to our own standards every time we perform.
"The first 25 minutes here was actually more than okay. We created more than enough to be in front and still have control of the game and then it takes two throw-ins and we are conceding a goal and the picture changes completely.
"That's worrying, that's something we have to work on and keeping looking at and adjusting. It's not good enough."
