Head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup has said that his side won't dwell on the result in their 1-0 defeat to 1. FC Magdeburg, however results in pre-season are still important.
Bariş Atik scored the only goal of the game at Carrow Road on Friday evening.
"The result is always important, also in pre-season. It's not the most important, but it is important," Hoff Thorup said post-match.
"We should not get used to losing games. Today, we should have scored, and gone in front before they did. It should not be the overall focus for us but we should have it in mind."
The Dane also outlined that he's still experimenting with the players in his squad and will use the upcoming week in Austria to start gelling his preferred squad together.
His attention for the week will be on the opening game against Oxford United on August 10.
"Overall, maybe OK. The first 20/25 minutes, really, really good intensity but then of course we conceded that goal which we shouldn't. There was a little bit of a bumpy period after that and it was difficult for us to get back into it," he added.
"Two weeks until the first one so for Austria, it's about finding the relationships between the players but also about getting closer to finding a starting 11 and a game squad for us. Today was about giving minutes, even for some of the younger ones. For Austria, and the next couple of weeks, it will be about shaping the team and finding relationships between players."
At present, there are a host of young players within the squad gaining valuable experience with decisions to be made on the next step of their development this season.
Hoff Thorup will make a decision in the coming weeks on those who are part of his plans, the Under-21s' set-up and those suited to a loan this year.
"It's good to see their courage, enthusiasm for the game, they bring a lot of good energy.
"They're really trying to do what we tell them to do, that's been good so far. We have to see who will be a close part of the team which we'll get closer to an idea of at the start of next week."
