New Norwich City Women signing Eloise King was pleased with a comfortable 3-1 win over Wroxham Women, the Canaries' first pre-season victory of the summer.
Natasha Snelling, Lara Densley and Olivia Cook were on the scoresheet for City.
"It was good, it's always nice to get the win as well under our belt while preparing for, hopefully, what will be a successful season, but again, another good run out for the team," King said.
"It's been so good to be involved in pre-season. As a new player, sometimes you worry about how you're going to fit in, but credit to the girls and the staff, it's been so easy just to come in and fit in really well. Credit to the team.
“I think game by game we're trying to work on things that we have been in training. We're progressing well; fitness levels are going up, we're hitting good numbers at the moment and we're connecting well on the pitch, so it’s looking good.
“Pre-season is just a building phase, I don't look too much into the results. At the start of season, we want to be ready to go, so hopefully in a couple of weeks, we'll be where we need to be."
King joined the Canaries earlier this month after spells with Tier 3 sides Ipswich Town and Hashtag United.
"Personally, I'm really enjoying being here.
"I think that's always important; when you're confident and you're enjoying it naturally, the football takes care of itself, so hopefully, yeah, come the start of the season, me and the rest of the team will be ready to go."
