Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean reflects on the 3-1 defeat away to Leicester City in the Sky Bet Championship.
Gabriel Sara put the Canaries ahead, but the Foxes claimed all three points after coming from behind at the King Power Stadium.
"It's disappointing to lose the game but we probably didn't do enough to take anything from it if I'm being perfectly honest," McLean said.
"Then again, it's the best possession-based team in the league who have got a lot of quality, but we allowed that quality to come through.
"We understood the task at hand, we know they were going to have moments where they sacrifice the ball. When we've got the ball, we need to be a lot better.
"We need to make them work the way they've made us work, and I don't think we've done that which is disappointing because we've been so good at it recently. This is the level we need to get to."
Next up for the Canaries is a home East Anglian derby against Ipswich Town.
And McLean, who deputised as skipper again in the absence of Grant Hanley, says that the side won't allow the Leicester result to take too much away from the positive run of form.
"It's the game that we want now. It's a bit disappointing today, but we won't get too down because of the way we've been. We'll rest, recover, and get ready because, again, it's going to be a tough game. We need to bring more."
