City Women's Issy Moore reflected on an exciting County Cup fixture away to Aylsham, pleased with the young side's performance.
"I feel like it was an amazing match, you never know coming into these County Cup matches how it’s going to go, but I feel like the team dealt with it really well and obviously a special mention to Poppy (Francis) and Drew (Wilson) for making their debuts," she said.
"I think it was a great performance from everyone."
It was a return to an old stomping ground for Moore, who previously played many of her youth years with Aylsham, most recently with their boys Under-10s.
"It’s really nice to be back today; I haven’t been here in ages, so it’s nice to play on an old home ground from when I was younger.
"I started playing here when I was seven, so I have a lot of good memories at Youngs Parks!"
A versatile player, Moore was positioned as centre-back in the starting 11, working her way forward and playing a variety of roles throughout the match.
"For me personally, it’s driving up the pitch more and getting the attack going. I liked playing ‘number 10’ today because there is lots of dribbling involved, which I love.
"I'm really pleased with my performance, I felt like my crosses paid off really well and I just loved playing for Norwich today.
"This was definitely a boost for next weekend and we work hard in training every night ,so I feel like we’re definitely ready for next week."
