City Women's number one Sarah Quantrill reflected on an important point against Real Bedford, praising her side's resilient performance.
“I think obviously we're disappointed after that, that we didn't hang on to get the three points, but I think if you look at that performance, I don't think you can fault anyone.
"Everyone's battled so hard today and we stuck together as a team.
"They're a good side, but we battled right to the end and gave it our best.”
Quantrill put in an excellent performance between the sticks for City, calling on all of her experience throughout.
"I’m quite glad I was busy because I was getting cold!
"I think if you look back in the last few games, we've just been solid defensively and we wanted to keep building on that," she added.
"We want clean sheets, that's what we pride ourselves on but everyone's battled really hard today.
“Like Andy (Cook) just said in our huddle at the end, if you look at where we were in November and December, the way we've come back since Christmas and properly dug in, I think really, you've got to be happy with a point.
"Bedford are a good team and especially at home, like we'll take the point.”
