Jonathan Rowe was at the double on Saturday lunchtime as Norwich City drew 2-2 with Ipswich Town in the first of the two 2023/24 East Anglian derbies.
The winger was complimentary of his teammates, saying: "I have to big up the boys, the character shown from the guys, the personality going back and forth, everyone dug in, everyone had that same belief, and we managed to come away with something at the end of the day."
The two goals from Rowe today take his tally to 11 goals in all competitions this season.
"It hasn't sunk in yet, I'm still young, I'm still learning different parts of the game.
"It was my first derby, so I'm just happy to be a part of this whole ongoing streak that we have against Ipswich.
"I understand how big the rivalry is and I look forward to many more games and many more derbies."
Over 2,000 Norwich fans were in attendance at the packed out Portman Road and talking about the supporters, Rowe said: "Looking at it from the fans' point of view, it's a big derby; as players we understand that but we have a job to try and win every game, regardless of whether it's a derby or not
"We obviously went for the win today, didn't get it, came away with a point but I think that's crucial for momentum going forward and hopefully we can keep this going."
The Canaries have three fixtures remaining in December, facing Huddersfield at home next, followed by trips to West Brom and Millwall.
"We have a lot of games coming up, a lot of winable games and I have to make sure I am on my A-game, the other players have to do the same and together we can hopefully get three points every single week."
