Josh Sargent was pleased with the overall Norwich City performance as the Canaries beat Stoke City 4-2 in the Sky Bet Championship.
Sargent scored twice himself in the game, taking his tally for the season to 11.
Lewis Dobbin had put Norwich in front before the first of two for Lewis Baker levelled the game going in at the break. Sargent's double and an own goal had Norwich cruising before Baker scored from the spot late on.
"Overall, good. I thought we were all over them in the first half, creating chances, it was a good goal from us," Sargent said.
"Probably not a good goal to concede right before the half, of course, but a good response in the second half. We could have even had more goals to be honest.
"I could have had a third, Oscar (Schwartau) had that chance. It was good football in moments so if we can maximise those opportunities and keep playing well, then limit the mistakes leading to the other team's goals, it'll put us in a good position."
The US international was very modest about his second finish, a 25-yard rocket into the top corner, but says he feels good at the moment.
They represent his sixth and seventh goals in six appearances.
"That was a good one, a good one on the weaker foot. I don't think I've had many of those so really happy about it," he added.
"I was reaching for the ball a bit, trying to keep it on target and just ended up hitting it right at him. Unfortunately, didn't get the hat-trick but still very happy with myself today.
"I'm feeling very good. More importantly, we've won this game and we played some good football so hopefully we can keep that going."
