Josh Sargent said his late winner was the best way to end the game, as Norwich City claimed a 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion.

The US international struck in injury time as the Canaries were 1-0 winners in the Sky Bet Championship.

"It was a difficult game," Sargent said. "Not a lot of chances, but it was probably the best way we could end the game. So we're very happy with that.

"We set up a little bit different than what we're used to. I think we were prepared for how the game was going to be today, we really wanted to be solid defensively and I think the guys did a great job with that. We got the result so I think everybody's happy.

"I had that chance in the first half and obviously kicking myself about it. That's life as a striker, you get a chance and you've got to move on if you miss it.

"You've got to wait for that next opportunity. There are a lot of games where you don't get that opportunity or a lot of chances, but you've got to wait for that moment. And today, I did that.

"I was just happy I could take a break for a second! I was tired, but it's a great feeling and we definitely deserved it today. It was a tough game, but very happy for everyone to grind out that result."
