Josh Sargent says that frustration is the overriding emotion after Norwich City were held to a 1-1 draw by Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship.
The American scored the opening goal in the 68th minute before a stoppage time penalty sealed a point for the Rams.
"I think we're all disappointed of course," he said.
"First half probably wasn't good enough on our part, didn't create many chances. In the second half, I thought we came out and didn't a lot better but when we scored, I thought we sat off a little bit and lost our energy. That led to us conceding a late goal, frustrating all around."
Johannes Hoff Thorup reminded his squad of their roles at the break, which Sargent says helped to improve the second half performance.
"As the manager told us already, we didn't stick to our positions very well. A lot of guys were moving in positions they weren't supposed to be, that got us out of balance, out of shape, and we weren't able to break them down very well," he explained.
"You don't want to go very long stretches without touching the ball. In those moments you've got to stay a bit more disciplined and wait for them. Although there might not be a lot of them, you have to take your chances when you get them."
