Oscar Schwartau netted his first Norwich City goal as the Canaries secured a 2-1 Boxing Day win against Millwall.
The teenager got City's second late in the first half to double the advantage after Emi Marcondes' opener.
"(It was) a tough match. I thought in the first half, we were very, very good. The second half was too many duels but in the end, we got the win so it's good," Schwartau said.
"It's a well-deserved win and a hard-earned one. Like I said, in the first half, it was very good but the second half was not very good."
With his family joining him for the festive period, Schwartau's goal was made extra special by having them in the stands.
He also admitted that the goal is something he has been waiting for since joining in August.
"It was very nice, something I've been looking forward to, so I'm very happy with it. My family and friends have all text or call me, my family was also here tonight so that's nice," he added.
"I've been here some time now and I really like the place, I'm glad to be here. I talk with Glen (Riddersholm) a lot about finishing, getting some goals. It came today which I'm glad about. It's a hard league, there's a lot of over and back."
