Norwich City defender Jack Stacey described the win over Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet Championship as a perfect day.

Norwich City defender Jack Stacey described the win over Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet Championship as a perfect day.

David Wagner's side secured their eighth consecutive home victory courtesy of Marcelino Núñez's free-kick.

"I wasn't planning on celebrating until after the game," Stacey, who celebrated his 28th birthday today, said.

"It's started a little bit early, but a perfect day really for me, and for everyone associated with Norwich.

"I think we started really well, on the front foot. We won a lot of second balls and duels, which is always important in derbies.

"Off the back of that, we were really able to play. I think it was a deserved victory, and that's even more pleasing.

"The way the team has been, and personally, I think everyone has a lot of confidence. We've got momentum, but we have to take it a game at a time.

"I'll go out for dinner tonight, maybe, but tomorrow we're back in for recovery. Confidence is with us, we'll see where it takes us."
