Norwich City defender Jack Stacey says the side had to show a different side of themselves as they claimed a 1-0 win over Sunderland.
Josh Sargent struck late on as the Canaries claimed all three points at home in the Sky Bet Championship.
"If you look at the last home game against Cardiff, we were in control and scored more goals. We had to show a different side of ourselves today," he explained.
"We had to battle right until the end to stay in control, and to keep the clean sheet. To score late, it showed a different side to us.
"I'd have taken a high-scoring game with an easier finish, but when you get into the changing room and celebrate the 1-0, it's a nice feeling.
"It was a heavy pitch, especially in the second half. There was times where the game was so open, we felt we were going to get chances, and they felt they were going to get chances."
Stacey now wants to see the side continue this form until the end of the season with the play-off places in sight.
"They are the kind of games that I love, a battle. Once you're in the changing room and you've given everything, you can sit down and relax and enjoy the three points.
"If you look at the season and the last few months, we've picked up a lot of wins at home. Now, we want to take that on the road as well."
