David Wagner was delighted with his team's performance against Rotherham United, praising them for picking themselves up after the mid-week defeat.
"It was a fantastic afternoon, a fantastic performance," he said.
"The players deserve a lot of credit, because it looks so easy against a team that are not on the best run.
"We conceded a very avoidable defeat just three days ago, where we were very angry about the result, and then to react like this is top class and shows only the energy and the drive that this group has.
"Football matches are all about hunger and passion and this is what the players have shown today."
Rotherham went into the game having not picked up a point since their draw against Middlesbrough in January, leaving them bottom of the Sky Bet Championship.
"We said to the group before the game, Rotherham are not on the best run, but the truth is they have beaten us, so this was back in our thoughts when we prepared for the game and this means you have to be on your very best."
Dimitris Giannoulis was absent from the squad today, with David Wagner confirming he picked up a hamstring injury on Friday afternoon.
"Unfortunately, yesterday in training he got injured. He will have a scan tomorrow, so we will know more then; hopefully it is not too serious."
Borja Sainz was available for selection in today's match after his mid-week red card was overturned.
"We altogether know that football is a game of mistakes. The referees are part of the football matches and they make mistakes as well.
"If something like that happens, you only have to correct it, which they have done.
"That game is now gone and i think everybody nows there was something in this game, after the red card it affected us massively.
"We can't change the outcome, we have to accept defeat, it very much hurts.
"We just had to make sure we kept going immediately and this is exactly what happened today."
