Norwich City head coach David Wagner says the win over Sunderland in the Sky Bet Championship was a deserved one.
Josh Sargent's late strike meant the Canaries were 1-0 winners over the Black Cats at Carrow Road.
"Apart from the weather, I loved everything. I think, without a shadow of a doubt, it was a deserved result," Wagner said.
"We had the better chances, we had to be very patient. I'm very proud about how they executed it today, the game plan, because it was a game against a very well organised team.
"You can quite easily lose your head if you rush situations, and the players have done the opposite and have done the right things, they were calm and found the right starting positions.
"I think we kept the opponent quiet, kept them far away from our goal. We limited them to less clear-cut chances, we looked like we were in control.
"We had our chances, and we didn't use them; Gabriel Sara, Jack Stacey, Borja Sainz. At the end of the day, they've done their job and kept going.
"Then obviously, we had Josh at the right moment. He's done his job, and the team has done fantastically. Another big win at home, and it's all about recovery for the next game."
The head coach spoke about the match-winner Sargent, highlighting how good it is to have him back in the squad.
"I think the stats speak for themselves, and you see his presence and how he works for the team. He's a big player for us, and the team works very hard with and for him.
"You have to have a player who puts the ball in the back of the net, and this is Josh at the minute. Luckily, we have him. He's growing fitness-wise, as well.
"Now, like I said, we have to make sure that we keep going. First and foremost, we have to make sure the boys recover as good as they can."
