Head coach David Wagner spoke to Canaries TV following the club's 3-2 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road.
"I think we started very well, the first 25, 30 minutes was a proper away performance.
"For me it was a deserved lead; Watford had more or less nothing and then we were affected by Ui-Jo's injury."
Hwang Ui-Jo was substituted just five minutes after his goal that put the Canaries two up.
"We were a little bit shocked about it and then more or less out of nothing, their first shot on target was a goal.
"Then individual mistakes in front of goal were just not good enough.
"We didn't look good in the second half; in ball possession we had so many easy turnovers, we didn't keep the ball well enough, we couldn't keep six or seven passes together and this meant we were always under pressure."
The win for Watford means they leap frog the Canaries in the table and move up to 13th in the Sky Bet Championship.
"It means it was a deserved defeat against a good side, after the first half an hour where we played quite well.
"Hwang's injury doesn't help, if you have the injury problems that we already have, then another player who is in good form, who scored a great goal, who scored the winner last weekend, has to go off, this affects the group.
"But at the end of the day, the goals we've conceded and mistakes we've made are just not good enough.
"The mistakes we made for the three goals, this is what we have to stop, because then all the effort and hard work that the players put in doesn't count.
"The results affect feelings, we love to win together, and we've enjoyed the positive feelings that we've had in the last two games, and this is exactly the opposite."
Norwich City's next fixture sees them travel to Ashton Gate this weekend to face Bristol City.
"We have to reset and go again on Sunday and go back to what we have done in the games before.
"We can't get affected by this game because the first half an hour of tonight shows what the players are really capable of."
