Norwich City head coach David Wagner says his side have done their job, as they secured their place in the Sky Bet Championship play-offs.
Despite a 1-0 defeat away to Birmingham City, the Canaries finished sixth in the Championship and confirmed their play-off spot.
"To be fair, this game was totally irrelevant," Wagner said. "This result as well. The only thing what counts is what the players have done in the last 46 games.
"They've done their job, which we all together had as a target at the start of the season. To reach the play-offs and try to get promoted.
"Now we are part of the post-season, and this is exactly what counts. A big credit to the players, they should be very proud of what they have done after a very difficult season.
"To be there, where they are, after 46 games of the season is just amazing. I'm so, so happy for them, considering where we came from last season.
"We were 13th, we all know how hard the Championship season can be. We made a lot of good decisions in the summer window, and then with a difficult autumn and to recover from this, it's just great.
"This shows the character of this group, the togetherness. I have a lot of trust and belief in them that they can achieve something very special in the post-season."
The head coach confirmed that the players got through the game healthy and that he was happy to give minutes to returning players.
"For me, the most important thing from today is that everyone is healthy, and a lot of players were able to get some game time.
"Now we put the regular season to bed, all of the 46 games including today. Our only focus now is on the post-season, a super exciting opponent in Leeds United.
"We're really looking forward to it, and we will prepare. We will go into this play-offs as underdogs, there are some other teams who might be the favourites.
"I like this role, and take this role. From my experience in the play-offs, the underdog can be very dangerous."
