Norwich City head coach David Wagner says his side were not good enough as their season came to an end with defeat against Leeds United in the play-offs.
The Canaries were beaten 4-0 by Leeds at Elland Road, ending the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship season.
"If you play in the last game of the season like we have done, we were poor. We had an off game today, and Leeds were very, very good.
"To go out of the play-offs, it hurts. At the end of the day, it was a heavy defeat against a very good Leeds side and we weren't good enough tonight.
"We all together know that for as long as you can stay in the game, the better it is. The first goal was very easy to avoid, a set-piece.
"The second one, we have done this brilliant game in the first leg to defend this exact situation. We switched off for a second and got punished.
"We had this chance with Josh \[Sargent\], where we maybe can get some positive energy back, which we haven't used. And then obviously, we concede the third one.
"Disappointing, yes it is. But what I can say is that I would like to thank everyone involved in the last 10 months, from players and backroom staff, for their hard work and for the effort that they have put in.
"Tonight, we lost but in the last 10 months, it was good and I would like to thank everyone for that."
The head coach also highlighted the Norwich support throughout the season.
"They were fantastic. They had a very difficult spell, like we did, but we all recovered very well. Unbelievable home atmosphere, and the away support across the whole season was very good.
"Unfortunately for them as well, we were not able to give ourselves this Wembley experience which is one of the best you can have.
"In general, they have done their part. We were able to recover from this difficult period. We. were not able to give them something to cheer."
