Head coach David Wagner says that he and his squad will move on very quickly from their 1-0 defeat to West Brom on Boxing Day.
Brandon Thomas-Asante scored the only goal of the contest, where Norwich City played over an hour 10 men following the dismissal of Borja Sainz.
However, Wagner was pleased with how his team showed character in dealing with that setback.
"It's a disappointing result but to be fair, what the players have shown, the shift and the effort when they were down a man for more than an hour," he said.
"I'm very proud of the effort, the working ethic and the togetherness that they have shown. We said at half-time that we had to make sure we stay in the game as long as we can and then in the last 10 minutes, we could go for it.
"In a game like this, you will always get one, maybe two, goal opportunities. And if we are ruthless and use them, we can make something happen. We also said at half-time 'Will it be difficult?' Yes, of course, but is it impossible? No, no way. It's exactly what the players tried.
"Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the golden opportunity that we had. We'll put this game to bed very, very quick because it's not often in a season you'll have games like this."
One of the main positives for Wagner was the return of captain Grant Hanley from injury.
The Scotland international has not played for the first team since April when he suffered an Achilles injury at Ewood Park.
"For him, it's great and for us as well. He played much more than we thought. It was a proper centre-back game to be fair, everything you need as a centre-back was in this game. It was a big step for him coming back into the team.
"We now have to see how he tolerates the workload that he got because, as I say, he got a lot more than we expected. It's another positive, but I was able to see a lot of positives today, especially about the character of the team when it's very difficult."
