David Wagner says he and his team will move on quickly from the disappointment of losing to Middlesbrough on Wednesday evening.
After going 1-0 in front, a red card would turn the course of the game and lead to a 3-1 defeat at the Riverside Stadium.
"The result is super disappointing but I think we have to judge the game, and the result, right. In the first half an hour until the incident with Borja (Sainz) and the red card, we played one of our best away performances," Wagner said.
"We were super strong on the counter press, good in the rest defence, attacked well, kept the ball in the right moments, scored a wonderful goal. We should score more with the (Dimi) Giannoulis chance and Ashley Barnes chance as well.
"Then with the red card, the game totally changed and we lost it. I think it's disappointing, yes, but I'll easily put it to bed because I know how to judge it. For me, the first half an hour had so many good things. Now, it's up to me to lift everybody, and not to let them get affected by this result which hurts."
One positive for the Canaries was a first-team debut for Finley Welch, who replaced Barnes in the second half.
Having been in the matchday squad for the last two fixtures, Sainz's dismissal may see more opportunities come his way. But the head coach says a decision will first need to be made about an appeal.
"Finley played his first game for us, I'm very happy for him. He deserved this first appearance, he's always fully on it in training.
"He works very hard, and this is why we have decided to give him his debut today.
"We now have to see if we'll appeal Borja's red card because we are not huge in numbers. It would be a big boost for us if he can continue to play for us, we'll have to decide later if we will appeal."
