Head coach David Wagner was pleased with his side's ability to grind out a 2-1 win against Hull City at the MKM Stadium.
Jonathan Rowe and Christian Fassnacht were on the scoresheet as Norwich jumped back up to eighth in the Sky Bet Championship.
"It was fantastic, I think what the players have shown under difficult circumstances, with this pitch against a good opponent, the shift, the effort, togetherness, fighting spirit, was unbelievable," Wagner said.
"I'm delighted, over the moon, with what I've seen tonight. Sometimes wins like this, where you have to dig in as a group, are greater than comfortable wins. This is a big one. A lot of people have seen that this dressing room works and fights together."
After losing 1-0 in both of their previous away fixtures, the boss was pleased with the application of his side against Liam Rosenior's team.
And now he is hoping that this win will provide some momentum for a busy few weeks ahead.
"Away from home, it's never easy. Especially on a Friday night but how the players competed today, and how they stuck together was great. The last two away performances and results were not great.
"Today, the players have shown what they are capable of and I said before, we'll take it game by game.
"This was a good one, it will give us a boost. We are happy to have one or another player back in training and starting games. We'll keep pushing, working hard, believing and trying everything."
