Jeffrey Schlupp spoke to Canaries TV about making the move to Carrow Road after his departure from Crystal Palace.
First of all, welcome to Norwich City. How are you feeling about the move?
"I'm really excited, it's something new again but a lot to look forward to back in the Championship at a big club. We want to do well this year and hopefully, we can have a good season."
How excited are you to get started and join up with the lads for pre-season?
"Very much so. I've talked to the manager about the plan for this year, his tactics and style, and I'm really looking forward to getting involved in it and being a part of it all. Hopefully, we can get off to a good start and I'm looking forward to meeting all the players and creating something special this year."
What do you know about the club and our home here at Carrow Road?
"I've been to the stadium a few times as a player. It's obviously a big club, I've always had some tight games here over the years. There's obviously been a lot of success over recent years, in terms of promotion from the Championship into the Premier League, which hopefully we can add to this year."
You're a player who is comfortable in a variety of positions. How would you best describe your playing style and where are you most comfortable?
"I've played everywhere over my time as a professional football player! Predominately left-sided would be my preferred position, anywhere down the left I'm comfortable. I've spoken to the manager and there's a few different roles where he sees me in. Obviously, I'm happy to help in any way."
You spent eight years at Crystal Palace. What was your biggest takeaway from your time with the Eagles?
"It's a massive family club, everyone that I came across there was amazing and some that I hope I'll keep in touch with for the rest of my life. Great players, great stadium. The fans were unbelievable during my time there and we had some great memories together."
And you were also part of the Leicester City side that were Premier League champions in the 2015/16 season. Just tell us what that was like?
"It was incredible. It's hard to describe still, even coming up to 10 years next year. Still hard to describe how it all actually was, just amazing. We were a close group and spent a lot of time together, we got promoted together. We won the Championship together and then won the league two years after that. To do anything like that here, would be amazing, but first and foremost we want to get off to a good start to do something special by achieving our goals."
After speaking to Ben Knapper and Liam Manning, what are you hoping to achieve personally, and as a team, this season?
"Obviously, we want to have a great campaign, it's no secret. The goal for everyone in this league is probably going to be the same, to make play-offs and try to get promoted. You have to start somewhere, obviously I'm coming into somewhere new so it's going to take a little bit of time to find my footing. Hopefully, I get to gel quickly with the players."
