Norwich City Academy defender Waylon Renecke has been called up to South Africa's squad for the upcoming Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The defender, who has featured for Greg Crane's Under-18s side, is part of Duncan Crowie's squad for the tournament in Algeria.
Renecke and South Africa are in Group B, and will play Nigeria, Morocco, and Zambia. Their first fixture takes place on Sunday, April 30, against Morocco.
A successful tournament for South Africa could lead to qualification for the 2023 FIFA Under-17 World Cup, with the four semi-finalists earning a spot in November's tournament.
