Norwich City's 2023/24 season has come to an end after defeat in the second leg of the play-off semi-finals against Leeds United.
The hosts would run out 4-0 winners, after the first leg had finished 0-0 at Carrow Road.
Three first-half goals from Ilia Gruev, Joël Piroe and Georginio Rutter did the bulk of the damage to Norwich's promotion hopes, with Crysencio Summerville adding a fourth in the second half.
Ashley Barnes made his return from injury sooner than expected, coming into the starting line-up in place of Borja Sainz who dropped to the bench.
City's early attempts to frustrate the hosts and their support were undone in the seventh minute when Gruev's free-kick was out of the reach of Angus Gunn.
The lead was doubled after just 20 minutes when a delivery from Willy Gnonto was headed beyond Gunn by Piroe.
Josh Sargent had a chance to pull one back immediately after but Illan Meslier was out to make a strong save from the American.
The first half went from bad to worse for City when Rutter made it three with five minutes until the break.
The ball found its way through a tangle of bodies before he fired it home off the crossbar.
It could have been four soon after but Gunn had to use his body to stop a strike from Gnonto.
Sainz was introduced for Sargent at the break however it was the hosts who would continue their dominance.
Gunn had to make himself big to deny Piroe a second on two separate occasions early in the half.
Summerville would be the one to add the fourth with just over 20 minutes to go, benefitting from Junior Firpo following up Gnonto's effort.
The final whistle would signal the end of City's campaign.
