Norwich City picked up a point against West Brom on Saturday afternoon in a 2-2 Sky Bet Championship draw at The Hawthorns.
Both sides went ahead during the game with all goals coming in the first half of the match.
Mason Holgate found the opener early on followed by an equaliser from Emiliano Marcondes, his first City goal. An own goal gave City the lead shortly after and then Josh Maja brought the two sides level late in the first half.
The trip to The Hawthorns saw a return for Angus Gunn between the sticks after several weeks out through injury, Liam Gibbs and Onel Hernández also making their way back onto the bench after some time on the sidelines.
The hosts took an early lead from the first set-piece of the game, as Karlan Grant delivered a ball perfectly into the path of Holgate who flicked it past Gunn and into the back of the net.
City hit back quickly though, as Shane Duffy forced an attack with a through ball to Jack Stacey down the right. He then whipped in a lovely cross for Marcondes to stretch and poke the ball home.
The equaliser raised the tempo for City, who looked keen to find another immediately after, Borja Sainz with a strong effort denied by Alex Palmer in goal.
With four minutes to go of the opening 45 minutes, Johannes Hoff Thorup's side took control and brilliant link-up play between Kellen Fisher, Marcondes and Sainz found City's second, which was eventually turned into his own net by Torbjørn Heggem.
The end of half wasn't quite in sight for Norwich though, as West Brom pulled back an equaliser almost immediately, as the Baggies' top scorer Maja fired home a volley two minutes from the end of the opening 45.
City were then saved from going in at the break on the wrong side of 3-2, as a frantic first half closed with a disallowed goal from Grant after a handball was given in the build-up.
The second half continued with much of the same entertainment, the hosts back on the front foot.
The best chance for City came on the hour mark, as a brilliant pass from Callum Doyle on the counter-attack found Sainz on the run unmarked, but the Spaniard was eventually caught by Baggies shirts and he couldn't find enough power on his shot to beat Palmer.
Substitutes Hernández and Oscar Schwartau made a threatening attack down the left when the 18-year-old released the Cuban where he left behind his defenders but was caught out a great block from the recovering Heggem.
Both sides had opportunities to get a third goal but no winner was to be found in the afternoon and the points were shared.
City are next in action on Tuesday, November 26, against Plymouth Argyle at Carrow Road.
