Norwich City goalkeeper Vicente Reyes has joined Sky Bet League Two side Forest Green Rovers on loan.

Norwich City goalkeeper Vicente Reyes has joined Sky Bet League Two side Forest Green Rovers on loan.

The Chilean has been a regular in the Canaries' Under-21s side since joining from Atlanta United 2 during the summer.

During January, Reyes featured in all four of the Chile Under-23s' Conmebol Pre-Olimpico games as they aimed to qualify for this summer's Olympic Games.

He now joins Rovers who are currently at the foot of League Two, and have recently appointed Steve Cotterill as their new head coach.

Head of Goalkeeping, Paul Clements said: "It's a great opportunity for Vicente to further his development. We had a couple of opportunities for Vicente to go on loan in January, but with him being away with the Chile national setup it was difficult to get that done at the time.

"We're doing everything we can to continue to create pathways for our young goalkeepers. We've used Vicente on the bench with the first team this season and he has done really well with the national team recently.

"This move to Forest Green Rovers is the next stage of Vicente's development and it'll be good for him to experience EFL football."

All at the club wish Vicente well with the temporary move.
