Borja Sainz has claimed his second consecutive Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award after been named as the October winner.
It is the latest in a flurry of awards for the City winger, who has also picked up back-to-back PFA Player of the Month awards in the Championship and the last two Anglian Home Improvements Player of the Month prizes as City's top performer.
To add to the pile, his wonder strikes against Hull City and Middlesbrough earned him the club's September and October Goal of the Month awards, while he has also been named as an EAFC Trailblazer for his early-season performances.
Speaking to canaries.co.uk, Sainz said: “I’m very happy to win this award, but I must say thank you to the coaching staff and my team-mates. They have helped me a lot, providing me with the belief and support.
“I want to continue to improve and learn. We want to make a special season here in Norwich City and I will continue giving everything on the pitch to help make that happen.”
City's head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup commended Sainz for his stellar performances: “Borja has had another fantastic month, and we’re delighted for him. He’s trying to take the next steps in becoming more of a leader on the pitch and being the guy that we can rely on.
“He has been consistent in his impact on our games this season and that’s where he is making big improvements.
“He is a very talented player and someone we’re enjoying working with. We look forward to his continued development as we progress through the season.”
