Josh Sargent scored his eighth league goal of the season, but it wasn't enough for Norwich City as they lost 2-1 away at Watford.
Angus Gunn saved an early penalty from Imran Louza, but the Morocco international would open the scoring shortly after with a fine finish.
Keinan Davis added a second for Watford, before Sargent's effort on the stroke of half-time halved the deficit.
Dean Smith made two changes from the defeat at home to Preston last weekend. Gunn replaced Tim Krul between the sticks, and Kieran Dowell came in for Aaron Ramsey. There was also a place on the bench for both Todd Cantwell and Isaac Hayden.
The game's first clear-cut chance fell to the hosts. Davis did well to bypass Sam Byram, and forced Gunn into a smart stop at his near post.
Watford were given a golden opportunity to open the scoring from the penalty spot just after Liam Gibbs brought down Ismaila Sarr, but Gunn went the right way to deny Louza's spot-kick.
But Louza would open the scoring for the Hornets not long after, curling into the far corner from Sarr's cross.
The Canaries registered their first opportunities on goal, coming close twice in quick succession. First, Dowell's long-range effort was palmed away by Daniel Bachmann, before Max Aarons flashed his effort wide.
Watford would add their second just after the half-hour mark. Sarr broke into the Norwich area and the ball fell to Yaser Asprilla, whose shot fell into Davis' path who tapped in for two.
Norwich would go into half-time with hope, after Sargent pulled a goal back. Dowell burst forward and found the American, who fired into the bottom corner with a brilliant effort.
Smith made two switches at half-time, with Hayden and Gabriel Sara being introduced, the former making his Canaries debut.
Kenny McLean would come close for the Yellows, as they registered their first chance of the second half, but saw his flick deflected wide.
From the resulting corner, Grant Hanley almost found an equaliser. The Scotsman rose highest from Sara's corner, with his header rattling the crossbar.
Sargent had a bright burst forward late on for the Canaries, but Dan Gosling got back well to win the ball back.
The points would be Watford's, with Norwich unable to find a way back into the game.
