Norwich City Women can confirm the appointment of Scott Emmerson as interim head coach.
Emmerson will step up from his role as Norwich City Girls’ Academy and ETC Under-16 coach and remain in interim charge of the women’s team for the rest of the 2023/24 season.
Norwich City Women general manager, Flo Allen, said: “We are delighted to bring Scott in to work with us. He knows the club and will help the wider team build on some of the positive work that has already been taking place.
“The priority was to identify someone who understands our club, players and staff. Scott fits that criteria and we’re looking forward to working with him for the remainder of the season.”
Emmerson said: “It’s an exciting challenge and I’m really looking forward to getting started.
“Martin and the players have got the team into a fantastic position so far, so now it’s about building on that and ending the season positively.
“I’ve worked with a few players in the group before, which will be a real benefit. We’re ready to do everything we can to help maintain our push for promotion.”
The club will continue to review the role of women’s team head coach, with a view to making a permanent appointment following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
