Head coach Dean Smith spoke to Canaries TV following Norwich City's 2-0 home defeat to Blackburn Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship.
A goal in either half, both deflected beyond the reach of Angus Gunn, condemned the Canaries to the defeat.
"Disappointing. Frustrating," the head coach said.
"We give two really poor goals away and didn't create the bigger chances that we should have."
"They're (the players) very disappointed. Nobody wants to hear the chants that were out there but it's something that you have to deal with in football. Football has always been about opinions, and always will be.
"Everybody's opinion is different but the biggest thing today is the players worked their socks off. I can't question their attitude and how they approached the game. Young Liam Gibbs came on early in the second half and I thought he was outstanding. The players haven't given up by any means and we just need to have that killer instinct to go and win football games."
Next up for Smith and his charges is a trip to Kenilworth Road to face Luton Town on December 26.
Attention has now quickly turned to that fixture and bouncing back with a win.
"We have to regroup. I've just said that to the players in the dressing room," Smith added.
"They know how to win games, they know how to get out of this league. I do as well. Unfortunately, at the moment, things have gone against us, certainly at Carrow Road. On the road, we seem to be a lot more solid. I think we played some good football at times today but didn't make the most of our chances when they came around."
