Head coach Dean Smith was pleased with the resilience shown by his side in holding on for a 1-0 win against Swansea City.
Despite the hosts applying a lot of pressure in chase of an equaliser to cancel out Teemu Pukki's goal in the opening minute, the Canaries held firm to claim all three points.
"It's a really positive result. It's a tough place to come, Swansea are a really good footballing team, possession-based. After that defeat against Middlesbrough, I was really disappointed how we had been playing without the ball, I made that point," Smith said.
"And I thought today, we played better without the ball. Against a possession-based team who want to play through you, we made them play on the outside of us and cross the ball into the box. If you speak to Ben Gibson and Grant Hanley, that's what they'll want."
Following the month-long break while World Cup action took centre stage, Smith was pleased with the application of the squad and the areas that they could work the ball into.
However, he felt that there could still be improvement on the second half performance when defence became the priority.
"There's always things to improve on. Certainly, the second half today with the ball, we could have been better. We felt that we built up really well in the first half, we got Kenny the other side of them, and Isaac, and we switched play well," he explained.
"In the second half, we made it a little bit tough for ourselves, we gave the ball away a little bit too cheap."
He also provided an update on Todd Cantwell and Aaron Ramsey who were both left out of the matchday squad.
"Todd's fine, he's trained all week with us. I had a good chat with him on Thursday and we spoke about what we want for the last 25 games. He felt he needed an extra training session to be ready so we've left him at Colney to do that.
"I'm pleased with his application, his attitude, where he is, he wants to be ready to go against Blackburn next week. AJ felt his knee, I had to keep a couple of cards close to my chest. Hopefully, he should be back soon."
However, there was positive news on the depth front as Andrew Omobamidele and Adam Idah both returning after injury lay-offs.
The latter replaced Pukki in the second half and Smith is looking forward to having the further competition within the squad.
"It's a massive boost because they're both, I believe, top players. It's great to be able to put Adam on for the last 15 minutes, it brings competition back. Grant and Ben know that Andrew is breathing down their necks and wants to be in the team."
