Norwich City head coach Dean Smith said that his side need to start taking the big chances that come their way, following a 2-1 home defeat against Middlesbrough.
Norwich led in the first half thanks to Josh Sargent but could have been further in the lead.
However, they would rue not taking more of those chances as Michael Carrick's side completed a comeback in stoppage time.
"We created some big chances, could have been two or three up. Then we lost our way mid-half and allowed Middlesbrough too much ball," Smith highlighted.
"We didn't do the hard yards, getting in their faces to press, well enough at times. I thought our press the first 20/25 minutes was very good, we forced them going long, forced mistakes and created some really good chances.
"Second half, we spoke about getting into their faces again but we started the second half poorly. We lacked a little bit of energy, if I'm honest, for 15/20 minutes."
Similarly to the scoreless draw with QPR, the head coach felt that there had been enough of those chances created for the Canaries to comfortable take the three points.
Instead, they will go into the World Cup break on the back of a defeat.
"We have to start taking them. We know that Teemu scores goals at this level, we know that Josh Sargent has now started scoring goals at this level," he added.
"We've had 16 different scorers but we have to take our chances when they come around, especially the ones that we had today."
