Jack Stacey says there are improvements to be made, as Norwich City started their 2023/24 pre-season campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Barnet.

The right-back was introduced at half-time, as David Wagner made 11 changes to the starting line-up, with Stacey saying the result isn't too important at this stage of pre-season.

"Pre-season is all about getting into the style of play that we've been working on in training. I've been here for a week now, and we've been working on possession in training.

"At the end of the day, the score isn't the most important thing. It's about what we've worked on, and there's improvements to be made. Fitness first and foremost, but we showed some patterns we've been working on for sure."

Stacey made an impression on his Canaries bow, getting involved in attacking plays early on after his introduction.

"Maybe next week, I'll get three assists! That's my game, I try to get to the by-line and get crosses into the box. Hopefully give tap-ins for strikers too.

"The manager likes his full-backs to be high, we've got licence to get forward, and hopefully create some goals."

Making his debut for the club, Stacey added it was nice to make his first appearance in a Norwich City shirt.

"It was nice \[to make my first appearance\], I've met everybody in training, and everyone in their respective positions have gone above and beyond to help me and welcome me in. It feels like I've been here a long time."
