Norwich City Women defender Hope Strauss spoke to local media at the Avant Training Centre on Thursday night to preview the final fixtures of the season and reflect on a good run of form in recent weeks.
Strauss is hoping that they can finish the season on a high note, with promotion still a possibility.
"The break came at a perfect time for us. Reflecting on it, we were in a place we didn't want to be physically, emotionally and mentally," she said.
"A big thing that Andy has pushed is being present in the moment; there's nothing we can do about those previous results.
"We don't focus on the fact that we've won a game, it's about how we continue that and make it better.
"Communication and energy has been fantastic since then; I'm really proud of everyone in the squad. We've got 16-year-olds in the squad like Issy Moore and Sienna Booty who have played week in and week out and made a big impression.
"Then you also have players with experience, like Quants (Sarah Quantrill) and Tash (Natasha Snelling), so it's a great balance."
Andy Cook's side will host London Bees in this weekend's Division One South East tie, the reverse fixture ending in a 3-3 draw on the road.
"We want to show we can get three points against them, it felt like two points dropped earlier in the season.
"It's just another chance to show what we can do as a group."
Last week, Carrow Road was confirmed as the venue for City's final fixture of the 2024/25 season. Tickets available now.
"It's an exciting end to the season; we've still got a lot to play for, so, it's another opportunity to show the graft we put in."
The Canaries have been known to draw big crowds into the stadium, their first fixture at Carrow Road back in 2023 attracting nearly 8,000 fans.
"The support is mind-blowing, you think about some players in leagues above us that don't get the same crowd, so it shows the backing that the women's team has here. Playing at Carrow Road is a dream, what more can you want.
"It's amazing to be a part of Norwich City as a whole and I get such a great insight into the medical side, nutrition and psychology.
"Watching the first team, Under-21s and the rest of the academy really helps me.
"Being able to get little nuggets of information from anywhere is so important and helps with my on-pitch performances."
