Norwich City head coach Dean Smith confirmed that the club has had fresh COVID-19 cases ahead of the Boxing Day match against Arsenal.
He did not name what players would be missing through COVID-19 and added that some players are expected to come back from illness as well. However, he would not know how many players would be missing as the club will have to do another round of PCR tests 48 hours before the match.
"We have some fresh cases," said Dean. "But we have got others coming back. We are not sure how many will miss Boxing Day because we have to have a PCR (tests) 48 hours before the game and that will be final point when we will know who will be available."
Dean added that Milot Rashica, who has been out with injury, is not expected to return for Arsenal or the game at Crystal Palace on December 28. Mathias Normann, who was also hoping to return for Arsenal as well has suffered a setback and has had to have surgery on his pelvic injury, that will rule him out for the foreseeable future.
Ozan Kabak is fit to return, but Grant Hanley (shoulder) and Andrew Omobamidele (back) are also out.
