Norwich City head coach Philippe Clement shared his thoughts ahead of the club's Sky Bet Championship visit from Derby County on Tuesday evening, citing that it would be difficult test for his side.
On reflection from Saturday's win over Bristol City, Clement said: "I was totally not happy with the first half and it's even more frustrating from the stands.
"On the touchline you can't influence everything but you can spread the message during the game time and speak with players, instead of just half-time.
"I didn't recognise the team like I wanted to see them first half but I was really happy with the reaction in the second half; energetic, taking initiative, a lot of runs without the ball.
"We had the ball a lot but we didn't do enough runs in front without the ball and going behind after one or two minutes is not the ideal scenario, but the team showed their quality and you get a well deserved victory.
"I think I could have made changes at half-time and I told them that but they had a few more minutes to prove themselves.
"In the end, mission accomplished to get the three points with good football, scoring four goals against a team who have only scored one goal in their last three games."
City striker Mohamed Touré netted three times on the day, his second hat-trick since signing for the Canaries in January. Clement attributed the feat to the wider team improvements.
"I think he benefits from the team becoming much better; every striker in our team will score goals and get chances because the team will help better than it was before.
"He is also in a phase that luck is on his side; his third goal is not a quality goal but the two other goals were good goals, good delivery from Paris (Maghoma) and Oscar (Schwartau).
"Mo has not scored goals on his own, but he is doing really good things for the team without the ball, he has certain qualities that can hurt an opponent and he is really open to learning more.
"I've also been really impressed with Oscar the last few months; he just turned 20 and the maturity that he shows in the training sessions, the way he works, the way he behaves in the dressing room, I think he will have a really big future."
José Córdoba was also on the scoresheet at Ashton Gate, getting his second goal in yellow and green.
"I expected a game that would be tight, really difficult to create open opportunities against them, so we spent extra focus on the set-pieces, in the delivery and finishing and the team did really well.
"Harry Darling has also been much more consistent, he has stepped up and it's about pushing to make the story better.
"This squad is all individuals who can become better, even Kenny (McLean) has become better in the last few months.
"All the players feel that they are part of something, even the ones who haven't played much feel better than they did six months ago, so collectively you will get better.
"I'm going to give Ruairi McConville chances to come back, even if I don't put him in the next three games he will still be selected for the national team because he has been that good, same with José for his World Cup.
"I am making sure that he has the right amount of time. We are still hunting, going full and trying to win these games."
On squad fitness following the match two days ago, Clement was indefinite about injuries picked up during the game.
"We have a few issues from Saturday, I won't speak about it now as we need to assess but the puzzle is not complete.
"I can only make decisions tomorrow."
Although unable to give an update on Ben Chrisene's progress, he said that Jeffrey Schlupp was in contention for squad selection again."
On the challenge that Derby County posed in tomorrow night's game, Clement said: "It's a big challenge, the belief for play-offs is really big there.
"We're hungry for more wins, it's been an amazing few months if you see here the team and the ranking since we've been together.
"It was amazing to see in this long trip to Bristol how many fans were there; this energy with the players and staff are the moments I cherish and they make me happy.
"It's going to be a good test, a lot of respect for Derby.
"Not many people expected before the season they would be in the top six; we like big challenges and everybody is looking forward to that.
"With everybody available, they will give all their best to get results the fans deserve."
