Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup gave updates on the injuries in the squad and confirmed that Kenny McLean had been given one further match ban.
Starting with Josh Sargent, Hoff Thorup said: "He has had the surgery and it will be eight weeks from there, which was Monday or Tuesday. Now it's just about rehab and nice and easy getting back in.
"Gabe Forsyth will not require surgery, it will be five or six weeks. He extended something in his knee a little bit."
"Brad Hills was back in training today for the first time but it is too early to bring him back for Saturday.
"We hope both Angus Gunn and Marcelino Núñez will both be back for West Brom, but we will have to see. We need to see Angus on the grass in training and Marcelino, we need to take our time with it."
The head coach also confirmed that Kenny McLean had been given one further game ban following his red card against Middlesbrough, for language used towards the referee.
When asked about the youth players having to step up so soon due to injuries around the club, Hoff Thorup said: "You cannot do what we try to do here overnight, we tried to find that right balance before the last international break and then there was a good balance between experience and young players.
"I don't think we played well against Sheffield Wednesday but I will not go hard against them, it's not the time for that. It's time for us to stick even more together and support each other.
"It's going to be a difficult one on Saturday, we have the same team, no new names coming back from injury. We are trying to build a little bit of positivity around the group."
On the topic of George Long, he said: "George held his hands up this morning and said it was his mistake. There's so many things from a coaching perspective that can be done better there.
"It's a collective approach in everything we do here. I fully understand why some people are frustrated, when you travel so many hours to Sheffield why you are not happy with something like that, I fully understand."
On Ante Crnac's form, Hoff Thorup said: "We need to find out what is his best position, is it better for him to sometimes come on as a sub when the defence is a little bit more tired, at the moment we don't swim in strikers or attackers so we have to make it work."
The Canaries are back at home this weekend to face Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.
"They are a good technical side with good technical players, they can play some really good football and they can change their formation every game, a little bit more of an open game would be better for us."
When asked about Borja Sainz's current form, he said: "October was a fantastic month, still he is trying his best even on Tuesday night he tried to show he could turn the game around.
"It took some initiative, he's trying to take the steps into becoming more of a leader on the pitch and a guy we can rely on.
"That's where he has taken the biggest step so far this season, he is consistent and can consistently go for 90 minutes."
